Isaiah 54:17
No weapon that forms against you will prosper. You must tell the devil, "No matter what you throw at me, I will stand firm. I will prosper. I will still serve the Lord."
Daniel 6:1-28
There was a weapon that was formed against Daniel, but he wasn't afraid, because his trust and his hope was in the Lord. God sees your character - God says to "Stay in your character. Keep living right!"
The devil will come against you when you're trying to live right. vs 4 - you have to live in such a way that whatever is spoken or done against your character will not stand. The Lord has already confirmed you. Does God see you as a trustworthy person?
Don't worry about what people try to cook up against you. You're not corrupt; find yourself being trustworthy
People will try to use your relationship with God against you; but you must continue to be trustworthy; you must continue to walk right. These people are nothing but a weapon that the devil is using. Don't allow the weapons that the devil has formed to prosper against you! David found himself standing all alone - in a dangerous place - but God was with him. So, don't worry when you find yourself all alone, because God is with you.
vs 6 - 9
Did they not cook up a scheme? Some of us may wonder why people are going against you - it is because the devil has cooked up wicked schemes against you. Let God be your vindicator.
In spite of what forms against me, I am going to keep doing what is right. Someone must keep doing what is right, because if we all want to drive out darkness, we must keep walking in the light. You may say, "Why me, Lord?" Because God has set you aside. He has chosen you. We only want to choose the good assignments. We each have something that we have to deal with. Why are we seeking knowledge? It is because we want to do better. what good is knowledge if you refuse to use it?
You will be blessed because of the seasons you did right when everyone else continued to do what they just wanted to do. Are you going to be that plant that allows God to groom you when everyone else is just sitting there dying? Be like Jesus in EVERY sense - when it's painful, be like Jesus. In the Good Times, be like Jesus. We forget that we've told the Lord, "Lord, I want to be like you."
Q: When you find yourself in a place where the devil has cooked up something against you, you should persist in prayer to the Lord. Be steadfast, and ask for the Lord's strength. "Lord, please give me strength."
vs 11
Fear God before you fear any man.
vs 13 - we would have wanted this law to be repealed (Cross Reference: 2 Corinthians 12:7-10)
Why me? Why not? God chose you to be put into the lion's den. The God says, "What assignment can I give you?"
In order for God to lift us out of the den, we got to allow God to work though the situation that puts us in the lion's den. When God lifted Daniel out of the lion's den, Daniel received a promotion. He who humbles himself shall be exalted.
God wants to get glory out of your issues; God wants to get glory out of your suffering. God will rescue you from the power of the lions. You don't have to be afraid of the enemy. You have to be alert. You have to be sober-minded. But you do not have to be afraid.
vs 28
Daniel prospered. If you trust and believe in the Lord and continue to do what's right, everything you put your hand on, God will bless. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled (Matthew 5:6).
