John 10:10 tells us that the "thief comes only to kill, steal and destroy." This was the intent of King Saul towards King David in I Samuel 23:9-14, as was it the intent of Hurricane Irma towards everyone in its destructive path.
David had to be alert and sober-minded, and so should we (I Peter 5:8-9). From the islands to the main lands people lost their lives, their homes and possessions. Let us remember and be mindful of that. King David, The Giant Slayer, inquired and listen to God's warning, moving when He spoke.
It's not about a choice to stay or leave; it's more so about taking the threat and intent to do harm seriously. You may still have the utilization of all the things that you cherish the most. Others are now without them. We are blessed to be a blessing. How do you plan to use your God-given resources to help people and other believers in their time of need? Pray for those who lost loved ones; be their comforter, O God. We are truly grateful that you did not give us into Irma's hands.
